Softball Committee
Unique to other AMC Chapters, in New York, We play SOFTBALL in a city park on most Sundays from mid-April to mid-September. Our games are co-ed and are a fun way to help you keep fit. The emphasis is on fun, not competition. We try to extend our good times with an optional lunch after the game.
| The AMC Sunday softball games are played on the North Meadow of Central Park (between 97th and 100th Streets). We will meet at 10:30 AM at field number 9. Travel directions: Take "C" or #6 train to 96th Street. Call the listed weekly leaders to confirm game is on and for exact time and playing location. Note: It is crucial you call before each game to confirm that it is still on, as the Parks Dept. sometimes cancels for special events. |
Check out our on-line schedule of practices (indoor in the Winter) and games beginning in April. Sunday softball in the park is an ideal recreational activity for many city dwellers. For more information about our softball program contact the Softball Committee Chair.

Our home features an open
Our home features an open living area with ample seating for family and friends. The main living area is upstairs and is surrounded by 5 floor to ceiling sliding glass doors bringing the unobstructed ocean views in. If you choose to dine inside the dining room table seats 6 or if you prefer EX0-101, as we do, dine outside and listen to the breaking waves with seating for 6-8. For outdoor dining we have 2 outdoor teak tables (the upstairs table seats 6-8 and the downstairs table seats 4), there is also a small mosaic cafe table for two on the private side deck – perfect for that sunset glass of wine. All of this plus an outdoor gas grill and amazing unobstructed ocean views! We invite you to enjoy the true Fire Island Spirit...sand, surf and fun! 352-001 Prepare dinner while enjoying the sunset and ocean views from your open kitchen. The easy indoor/outdoor design of our home allows for easy flow from the kitchen, living room and dining room to the upper deck and gas grill. Our comfortable cook’s kitchen is fully equipped with the ccnp family chef in mind; refrigerator, oven/ stove, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee pot, toaster, quality cookware and tableware. For the grilling aficionado we have a gas grill ideal for clam bakes & easy summer dinners. The large living room/dining area has 2 ceiling fans to keep the ocean breezes flowing through the house, a TV w/satellite, a DVD player, stereo with an Ipod connection 640-802, wireless internet connection as well as games and puzzles for indoor play.
